I spontaneously decided to spend the first two nights in Sydney here and it was just perfect. So great that I immediately rescheduled and will also spend my last two nights in Sydney there. It really is a little paradise, the room was beautiful and large, right outside my window lived a koala that I loved watching. It was wonderfully quiet, just the sounds of the animals at night. The staff is extremely friendly and immensely helpful and accommodating. ThanksThe Restaursnt was an experience in itself. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money. Excellent quality and the view of Sydney harbor at night...gorgeous. For those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and noise of the city, or like me: looking for a soft entry, the ideal place!

Hotel in Darling Harbour, Sydney
Featuring a casino, a day spa and 20 bars and restaurants, The Darling at The Star is just 2133 feet from Cockle Bay. The room was impeccably clean and neat. I liked the ultra-modern electrical “touch” switches, especially the electrical opening/closing of the curtains. Similarly, instead of a “Do Not Disturb” sign, there was a “Privacy” switch which lit up a small light outside the room for the housekeeping staff. I had to eat my own diet breakfast in my room and the hotel facilitated this by giving me plates and cutlery. The shower (handheld as well as rainfall) worked well. There is a food court servicing the three adjoining hotels and casino.

Sydney is a gorgeous city with a variety of sites and activities. We found it easy to navigate - walking, taking ferries, and taxis occasionally. We saw the symphony at the Sydney Opera House - beautiful music and delightful setting. The architecture is truly amazing to behold! We ate delicious seafood at several spots along the water where we could enjoy the sunsets. The Rocks was a great area for buying unique gifts of all types. We saw the Aboriginal Art Exhibit at the New South Wales Museum. It was very respectfully presented - important for people to know the history of the native people. The Chinese Garden was an incredible oasis - beautiful, exotic plants and many birds, especially Ibis, were seen throughout. The Botanical Gardens are a treasure for all to see. We would love to return in the future!
I spent two days at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Day 1 - the Frida Kahlo Diego Rivera exhibition, and Day 2 - the Archibald, Wynne, Sulman and Young Archies - all wonderful. Dinner at The Bach Eatery in Newtown was wonderful. It's a small plates venue and would be great for sharing. Food, a duck salad, was delicious - perfect. I added a glass of NZ Pinot noir which was also great quality. Staff had a lovely, light manner, making the experience just perfect. Brunch next day at Encasa Deli in Bathurst Street also a really good pick. Boquerones, lime and mint juice and wonderful coffee to finish - more perfection!
Wonderful city! So much to see and do from great galleries (Art Gallery of New South Wales) to shops to easy access to beaches.
The city was lovely! We arrived in Sydney after a cruise and stayed 3 days in the city. It was thrilling to see the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge. Unfortunately the week we visited rained at least part of each day. We traveled to the Blue Mountains and although it was cloudy, the day was still enjoyable. A return from our tour included a river ferry ride into the city under the Harbor Bridge and past the Opera House. A tour of the New South Wales south coast including the amazing Sea Cliff Bridge and the coast of Kiama was fabulous! We ate at the Hard Rock Café at Darling Harbor, a Brazilian steak house near Tumbalong park and found walking from our hotel on Liverpool street to Darling Harbor was very "doable" even with my parents in their 80's.
A picture-esque sleepy beach town on the mid north coast of new south wales. Beautiful wildlife, screanery, food and beaches. Super peaceful. A perfect spot to stop off between sydney and brisbane. Check out trial bay, jump off back creek bridge, explore the waterfalls in arakoon park and the bistro down by the river.
Blackheath
A good memory my vacation at Blackheath, Blue Mountain, New South Wales Australia. Highly Recommeded
Such a beautiful resort. Top notch in every way.
Everything was amazing! The staff were very accommodating when we needed to relocate villas at short notice due to a problem out of their control. The facilities way exceeded our expectations. It made for a fun and relaxing family holiday for the adults with lots of activities - swimming pools, pump track, games room, movie room, kids cave, putt putt golf, jumping pillow and lots more to keep the children entertained and busy without us having to leave the resort. We are already planning our next family holiday here!
Breakfast was superb, fantastic selection, well presented and friendly helpful staff.
Fabulous size room. Very compfy beds. Lovely patio and garden outside
Our two days in the Blue Mountains unfortunately fell victim to the Northeaster coming in - visibility was less than 100m, sometimes even the other side of the street seemed foggy and it rained cats and dogs. So we were very happy about this cozy hotel! It is historic and well-preserved (but of course with all modern amenities you need in the rooms). Fun to explore the different rooms, there's a nice bar and somewhere they have hidden away a brewery it seems. Oh, and the dining room... Great - had a good breakfast there (we had enjoyed dinner in the other brewery in town). The room was a bit smaller than expected, but for one night it was ok. It was quiet and we slept very well. There is a new parking garage next to the hotel - only disadvantage is, that you are exposed to the elements when you walk over there.
amazing location in the rainforest. Beautiful suite. Lovely pool. Reasonably priced restaurant which was good as further away from Byron Bay than I had expected so we ate in the hotel both nights. Walked along the beach to Byron Bay in the daytime - about 10k each way! - one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on and almost deserted!
The warm bathroom floor. The spa facilities and treatments. Our room was spacious, comfortable and great having balcony looking out to sea.
Easy access to the room we had quite all round very good
I love staying here. Kids are sorted. Facilities are clean, I find it such a stress relief whilst we had to visit hospital
Stunning Deco style venue Beautiful location Friendly and helpful staff
What a beautiful setting with so much to do. Bike riding, canoeing, walks. We had a lovely, new 2 bedroom chalet. Staff were so helpful with hiring mountain bikes and explaining best places to explore. It was a nice treat to have breakfast at Cuisine Restaurant each morning.
Super clean and neat place with all the amenities needed for the stay.
The cottage aesthetic is gorgeous. The surrounds are magic.
The place is right next to eat street so that's a plus plus point and is 7-10 mins away from the train station and Westfield Mall. It's a very beautiful and relaxing place. The staff are so considerate! The best team!
Food was great, staff super friendly and great facilities
Ive never had such an experience like this, from the views, to the hammocks, the bush walks, fire place the bedroom & Bathroom ✨ I felt so refreshed after leaving here even though it wasn't long enough after 2 days Definitely a 10/10 for us. Well be back again soon we loved it that much.
The location is really great!Hotel is beautiful and like a garden. Staff is friendly and nice
